Baja Breeze Birthday

I recieved a box of goodies yesterday from my latest order and one of the items in the box was some of the beautiful Seam Binding Ribbon. I have had this wonderful ribbon on my wishlist for a long time and I finally purchased some. I got a spool of the Baja Breeze and Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon.

I used Whisper White, Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and some of the Twitterpated DSP. I'm not quite sure who I will give it to yet but I do have alot of birthdays coming up in May so I might save it for one of those.

Festive Friday #15 Challenge

I decided to partake in one of the many challenges that are out there in Blog land.  This is my first ever challenge and I'm really pleased with the card that I came up with for Nicole Derendorf's Festive Friday challenge - Mother's Day Theme
This challenge is a photo inspiration challenge. You can use the colours, the flowers, the vase, any part of this photo to inspire your creations:
And this is what I came up with:

The colours used are Garden Green, Wild Wasabi and Pretty in Pink. I do love a pink and green colour palette. It always turns out so pretty.
Thanks for looking and I hope that you are inspired to create something from this wonderful photo too!

One for the kids - Cute Punch Art

I love Punch Art! I love how you can transform the various Stampin' Up! punches in to all different things! It makes your punches so much more versatile than just to use them with your stamps. I came across this wonderful blog by Jackie Topa. To view her blog click here. She has a Cute Critters Punch Art Class that I just had to try! The critters are all so cute and makes it a little easier to make kids cards when you have all the instructions for these animals.
I had a go at the mouse. That was one of the animals that I had all the punches for too.

I added a few pieces of cardstock embossed with some of our embossing folders and a the Top Note Die and then put it all together. Turned out very cute!

Well, must go now the kids are home from school and I'm off to go and order some more punches!

Pleated Satin Ribbon Embellishment

I'm loving this pleated satin ribbon so much. I Googled last week 'Stampin Up pleated satin ribbon' to see what people were doing with this ribbon and how I could use it in other ways. I came across this blog from a Stampin' Up! demo in the US who used the ribbon to make it into a flower embellishment...so I thought I would give it a go!
It was very easy to do and it turned out so pretty! Well I think so! LOL

This is the card I made with the Pleated Satin Ribbon Flower Embellishment, getting my next card ready for Mother's Day. Now I'm organised for my mum and my mother-in-law.

If you love this Pleated Satin Ribbon as much as I do, check it out in our current Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue and contact me today to get yours!

Mixed Bunch Mother's Day

I thought I would get a head start on some Mother's Day Cards. I know it is still about a month away but my usual style is to leave things last minute and then get really flustered because I have so much to do.  I so love the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (DSP) and thought it would be a very pretty element for a Mother's Day Card

Nearly all the products used here come from the Autumn-Winter 2012 Mini Catalogue . I'm so loving this Mini. It is fantastic and all so pretty!

And isn't the Satin Pleated Ribbon just devine! When I saw the mini that was the first thing that I went *GASP* over and had to get all four colours straight away.
