ESAD 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

The new Annual Catalogue in the Australia and New Zealand is here! It has been live in the South Pacific for nearly a month now and I hope you all love it as much as I do!

To mark this fantastic occasion of a new catalogue my lovely friends on the Facebook ESAD group decided we should do a Blog Hop to showcase some of the new fantastic products.

You may have joined me from Norelle Targato's blog or started here with me. Either way you are in for a treat to see the creativity and imagination of myself and 23 other fellow Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up! demonstrators. So grab your beverage of choice, get comfortable and get set for the hop!

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and is a Facebook group just for Australian and New Zealand Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends and
blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD
Demonstrator community, through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas& friendship and we're always there to help and support each other.

So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to leave me a comment with your email address then I'll contact you with information on how to join our group.

I'm no. 22 on the hop and I'm so glad you could join us!

The cards that I have made for the hop are using some of the products that, when I first saw the new Annual Catalogue, I thought I have to have that!

The first card uses the I Love Lace background stamp (Pg 175 Annual Catalogue)

I love all things pretty and lacy and this ticks both of those boxes! Don't you just love the new In Colour Lost Lagoon too!

I embossed the stamp with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. It took me a few go's to get it because the stamp is so detailed but it looks stunning embossed! I also embossed the Birthday Wishes sentiment. I put that on vellum so you could still see the I Love Lace stamp and it wasn't covered up too much.

The next card uses some of the paper from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack (Pg. 185 Annual Catalogue)

It's pretty, its  girly, it's flowery. All the things I love.

There are 48 sheets in the stack: 4 of 12 double-sided designs. The stack measures 11.4cm x 16.5cm so it is perfect for card fronts and smaller projects.

The last product for my blog post that I went WOW about in the new Annual Catalogue is the Decorative Masks (Pg. 205 Annual Catalogue)

You place the mask over your project and you can either spritz, sponge, trace or emboss with the mask to create beautiful background.

I've sponged the Gold Encore Metallic Ink on the mask with a sponge dauber. To keep the gold theme going I cut out the star with the new Star Framelits and then stuck down the Gold Sequins from the Sequin Trim under the star cut out.

It's so sparkly!

I hope you enjoyed what I had to show you in this hop. Click Here for Clare's Blog, the next stop on our hop. I am sure you will find lots of ideas from Clare to inspire you. In case you get lost or there are broken links just come back here for the full list of ESAD ladies taking part in this hop.

22. Rochelle Blok - You are here!

Don't forget to leave a comment as you go along the blog hop. We love to know what you think about the things we have been creating.

For You Blendabilites

This is my last card (for now LOL!) on my Blendabilites Series. The will be more because I just received a shipment of stamps that are perfect for using the Blendabilites! I can't wait to have a play!

This card uses the Hostess only stamp set Bloom with Hope and I've coloured them in this time using the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilites.

The 'For You' sentiment is also from a Hostess only set called Hello There.

The colour combination of the card is one suggested by the new 2014 - 2016 In Colour Colour Coach Cards. The colours are Blackberry Bliss, Soft Sky. It also suggested Mossy Meadow but I used a bit of Old Olive instead. So if you ever get stuck for what colours to put together have a look at the Stampin' Up! Colour Coach and I'm sure it will help you with some inspiration.

Thanks for Looking!

Starting out with Blendabilites

If your just starting with using the Blendabilites my advice would be to start with the Blended Bloom Stamp. This one only comes in wood mount and is quite reasonably priced at $20.95 (AUD). Get this stamp, a couple of the Blendabilities assortments, the Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Whisper White Cardstock and you're on your way.

The design of the flower is nice and open so it makes it easier for you to put some colour down and start blending. Then as you get more confident you can move up to some of the stamp sets with more intricate designs.

This is the card that I have made using the Blended Bloom. I used the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities to colour and blend on the flower image and then used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set for the leaves and the sentiment.

The Cherry Cobbler Blendabilites just come out stunning! Love them!

Get Started with Blendabilities and the Blended Bloom stamp (#135906). Order them from my store HERE (Australia Only) or contact me for more information.

Just Add Ink #222 Colour Challenge

The Stampin' Up! New Annual Catalogue is here and it's so good. Some times when new catalogues start I get a little overwhelmed with all the choices of wonderful products.  I find the best way to get the creative thought process going is to join in some of the challenges in Blog Land.

So this week I have joined in the Just Add Ink Challenge. Click here and you can join in too!

This week is a colour challenge and the colours are ...

This is the card I've made using the colours

I used the new Striped Scallop Thinlit Die. I cut the die 3 times in Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay and Blushing Bride and then stuck back into the cut out die rows of Blushing Bride and Bermuda Bay.

Here's a close up of some of the elements on the card. It did take a bit of time to do but I really like the effect of putting the cut outs back in the die.

Thanks for Looking!

Have fun and Happy Stampin'!

Coastal Cabana Vivid Vases

The next card in my Blendabilities series is one using the stamp set Vivid Vases. This is a really gorgeous stamp (what Stampin' Up! stamp isn't LOL!). You can either colour it in or stamp the vases on some Designer Series Paper, cut them out and then paper piece them back on to the vases.

I have coloured in the images this time and I've used the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities.

The Coastal Cabana Blendies were perfect to create a water look. It's a bit hard to see in the photo here but I also put Crystal Effects on the vases to make them look 'wet'. Its a really cool look and is very effective.

This is one of the cards that I wish you could see 'In Real Life' cause the photo just doesn't do it justice.

Thanks for Looking!

Bloom with Hope Happy Birthday

The Bloom with Hope Set also has a beautiful 'Happy Birthday' sentiment. I really do like the font that these sentiments are in. They just team perfectly with the stamp images.

For this Bloom with Hope card I stamped and coloured the image twice and then I cut the flowers off the second image and stuck them on the first one with dimensionals to 'raise' the flower up a bit, so it looked like it was coming off the paper.

The flower was coloured in with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilites and I used one of the darker Skin Tone Blendabilites to colour the centre of the flower.

There is some more of the beautiful In Colour 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon. This time in the colour Lost Lagoon! I can see me using a lot of that ribbon! Its so nice! And how pretty does the Sequin Trim look on the Burlap Ribbon! Love it!

Bloom with Hope Sympathy

Whenever I make Sympathy cards I like them to have a little pop of colour but not too much so I used the Bloom with Hope stamp set which as a 'With Sympathy' sentiment, coloured the flower image with the Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities and teamed it up with some of the neutral colours.

I've also used some of the beautiful new In Colour 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Tangelo Twist.

Bloom with Hope A Million and One Thanks

I've always loved colouring in stamped images whether it be water colouring with the Aqua painter or using the blender pen so you can probably guess what some of my favourite products are in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Yep! Blendabilities!
So over the next week or so I'm going to feature some of my most recent creations that use the Blendabilities alcohol markers.

There first one uses the hostess set Bloom with Hope. This set lends itself perfectly to being coloured in and to highlight and shade in the image.

I used the Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil sets for the flower image and Old Olive for the leaves.

Because its a hostess set the only way you can get your hands on it is to host a workshop with over $300 (AUD) in sales or put in a $300 (AUD) order and you will get $50 hostess dollars to use on either the hostess only stamp sets or to put towards any in the catalogue that's on you wish list for free.

Contact me to hold a workshop today!
