#TGIFC105 It's time to CELEBRATE!!! TGIF Challenges is TWO!!!!

Oh yay! It's Friday! Two fabulous things are being celebrated today. Mr.Stamping Blok and I are celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary and .... TGIF is turning 2!! It's time to get your party pants on and get celebrating!

Here's a quick pic of my hubby and I on our wedding day all those 16 years ago. Eeek! I look so young!! I can remember so many details of that day like it was yesterday.

Was such a fabulous day and such a fun reception. We have many people still saying to us that it was one if the best weddings they had ever been to. We had a fabulous band and everyone there (yes everyone. I can't remember many people sitting down that's for sure) danced the night away. Anyway enough of going down memory lane, on to the other celebration of the day.

With TGIF turning two we want to CELEBRATE this week!!! It's a PARTY!!!

So it's time to get the balloons, streamers, cake, party hats, decorations or whatever you need for a party to celebrate this momentous occasions.

My card is a birthday card to TGIF. It's a mix of some items that are retiring from and some that are staying in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Sniff, sniff. I'm going to miss that embossing folder and Gold Wink of Stella.

I started with the embossed base layer and and then did my favourite flick of the Gold Wink of Stella. I just love that and it gives another layer and element to lift any creation.

I've then embossed the images from the Balloon Celebration stamp set with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder on vellum. Stamping the that spotty image onto vellum really makes it look like a balloon filled with confetti and glitter.

The balloons are accented by some Flirty Flamingo and Black Metallic thread 'bows'. I use the Gold Metallic Thread a lot but tend to forget about the black one a little bit. Love the dramatic look that it has given here.

The 2 and Happy Birthday are from the fabulous Number of Years set. Those big numbers are a fabulous size. They really stand out and give a fabulous look to any card or scrapbook page.

Why not play along with us and help us celebrate our 2nd birthday. Click here for all the details on how you can join in and for all the inspiration from the Design Team. Look out for some creations from TGIF Alumni.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Oh So Succulent

Hello and welcome to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. After joining Paula in New Zealand you are now back in Australia with me, Rochelle. So G'day! How's it goin'?

Today we are bringing you lots of fabulous ideas using the Oh So Succulent stamp set along with co-ordinating products from the Succulent Garden Suite.

This set has been quite popular from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue and there are lots of fabulous ideas. You just have to search 'Oh So Succulent' in Pinterest and the creations just keep coming and coming and coming! People are loving this set.

I've gone for a bit more of a dramatic look to my creation teaming the soft, pretty colours of the Succulent Garden DSP with the boldness of Basic Black. Love the contrast of the black and the softer colours.

Again like most of my creations this card started out so very differently but as I went along and was creating I swapped and changed things around to bring you this card today. I'm such a slow crafter and sometimes creating is such a process till I am happy with my creation. I swap things around so much some people could have made 2 or 3 cards to my one. I'm sure there are many of you that craft just like I do.

I've placed a cluster of the succulent images to make a type of wreath on my card. I've actually used some of the colour combinations for some of the succulents from on of the designs on the Succulent Garden DSP. Why reinvent the wheel when you don't have too? I did originally have the succulents with a black outline but that looked to harsh even with the Basic Black card base and sentiment panel.

Love the tone on tone look or using lighter neutral colours for the image outlines.

I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to create the wreath base. I layered the largest Stitched Shapes circle and then layered one of the Layering Circle Framelits inside it and then ran both framelits through the Big Shot both together so that you only had to die cut once.

Love that sentiment! And the font is fabulous too!

I was just going to leave the Sweet Sugarplum panel as is but I thought it looked too plain and I thought something was missing. Bring in the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. Love the layers of the gold dots while still letting the colour come through of the layer underneath. Gives any creation a fun and classy look without covering up the colours underneath.

I hope that I've given you another idea to use with the Oh So Succulent stamp set and for you to go and have some more fun with it.

This card was sent to my fabulous friend Chloe Evans for her birthday a few weeks ago. She makes fabulous creations too. Just one of the great friends that I have met through being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Now on to the super creative and super amazing Shannon Lane in Canada!

Just Add Ink #356 | Just Choose Two ...

Welcome to another Just Add Ink challenge. We have a fabulous challenge suggested by fellow DT member Kelly Kent; Just Choose Two ...Metallics - Circles - Balloons.

I must admit I didn't choose two but incorporated all three elements for my card this week. I'm a sucker for anything metallic in my crafting and I already had the idea to layer the circles with the hot air balloon,s so all three elements it its.

I've gone for a little square card today measuring 10.5cm x 21cm. Perfect for a few embellishments and a fabulous sentiment. Don't you just love that sentiment 'Sending Smiles across the miles'. Perfect for a RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) card. Send a RAK card to anyone just to say 'hello' and I'm sure it will brighten up the recipients day instead of getting bills. Getting cards in the post is fabulous!

I had originally started this card as a full normal sized card and with a bit of emboss resist technique by heat embossing the clouds in White Stampin' Embossing powder and then running over the base with the Sponge Brayer and Soft Sky ink. I just wasn't liking the results and like most cards that I make I started the whole process again. I'm sure I'm not the only person who crafts like I do.

I decided then to first ink up the clouds in Versamark and then quickly tap the stamp on Soft Sky. I then stamped the image down and very quickly poured over Clear Stampin' Emboss powder for a shinier look to the clouds. By 'inking' up your image in Versamark first and then your chosen colour (without cleaning in between), you can emboss in any colour you like without having a million different embossing powders. Love that! Saves money to spend on other products of course. Ha!

I then layered a die cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and die cut the Fabulous Foil Acetate with the Layering Circles and layered those two together. All finished off with some images, die cuts and a sentiment from the Lift Me Up Bundle. Love that this stamp set and dies will be in the New Stampin' Up! 2017 Annual Catalogue, not in a bundle price though.

I hope that I've inspired you today with my little 'Just Choose Two' card. Make sure you check out what the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team have created this week. They are such a talented bunch of ladies that's for sure! I do hope I see your creation in this weeks challenge too!

Now off to put this card in the post!

TGIF #103 | Sketch Challenge

I hope that you are all having a fabulous Good Friday and are enjoying the start to the Easter weekend. Today we have a new challenge over at TGIF Challenges. A fabulous and pretty straight forward sketch for you to make it as you wish.

I've had another play with the all new Eastern Palace suite and some of the oh so stunning new 2017 - 2019 Stampin' Up! In Colours. Get them on your wish list now so that when 1st May 2017 come around you'll be ready to place your order!

I've started with a watercolour wash background using Fresh Fig. This is a stunning colour and so on trend at the moment too. Seeing lots of clothes in the shops at the moment in the colour.

I've used some of the Eastern Medallion Thinlits to accent my card. The Fresh Fig medallion was cut for another project but because it didn't quite cut through properly and all the little pieces didn't come I put it aside and kept it for another day like today. I like the look of all the little pieces still in the die cut and it gives the medallion another look.

I've layered the medallions with some pieces of the Eastern Palace DSP. This is so gorgeous and two of the sheets of DSP have a beautiful gold foil embossed in it.

I've then accented the card with some Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Metallic Thread and some of the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers. Yes stickers! Another gorgeous element to this gorgeous Suite.

All finished off with a sentiment from the Eastern Beauty Stamp set. Don't you just love the font??!! I think is gorgeous!

I hope that I've given you a little bit of inspiration for this weeks sketch!
Make sure that you check out what the rest of the TGIF Challenge team have created this week. Its amazing!! They are amazing!! I do hope I see your creation in this weeks challenge too!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Introducing Eastern Palace Suite

Welcome to a super exciting Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop. We have some super amazing creations for you using some super exciting new products even with a sneak peek of some of the new 2017 - 2019 In Colours! EEEK!!!! Sooo exciting!!

We are sharing with you colourful and exotic products from the Eastern Palace Suite two months before they’re released in the 2017-2018 Annual catalogue!

Eastern Palace Premier Bundle

Currently these products are on pre-order only for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. But If you love these products as much as we do they will be available to Stampin' Up! Customers May 1st 2017.

For Customers :" Here is a sneak peek of the Eastern Palace Suite. Exclusive for a limited time are the Started and Premier Bundles, designed for both for beginning and avid crafters."

For Demonstrators: "Preorder the Eastern Palace Suite Starter and Premier Bundles April 4 - 30th. Get your hands on these colourful and exotic products to prepare for customer launch May 1."

I've used the cardstock from the Eastern Palace Cardstock Pack that co-ordinates with the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper. This card stock pack includes two of the new 2017 - 2019 In Colours - Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig. Swoon!!! These colours are just stunning! When you order either the Starter Bundle or the Premier Bundle you receive these two colours in the Stampin' Up! Classic Ink Pads as well as another colour - Lemon Lime Twist.

The other colour in this cardstock pack is a current 2016 - 2018 In Colour - Dapper Denim, which also features in the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.

My cards today also feature the amazing Eastern Medallion Thinlits. These thinlits feature some nesting thinlits to create these intricate medallions as well as thinlits to die cut some of the stamp images from the Eastern Beauty Photopolymer stamp set. Some of the thinlits only partial cut to give a bit of a peek-a-boo/window effect.

These Eastern Medallion Thinlits that I've used today are the ones that you nest together to create these detailed die cuts. The circle and the floral looking one both consist of three pieces so you could just use one piece or all three like my cards here today.

Some of the cardstock in these die cuts has allowed me to use some of the super small images from the Eastern Beauty stamp set to embellish the medallions. I've embossed the small images with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Everything gold just goes so well with this opulent suite!

Tranquil Tide

The edges of this medallion I have also embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. I masked off the centre of the medallion with a scrap circle die cut and then used a sponge dauber to 'dab' Versamark ink on each 'petal'. I then poured over the embossing powder and gave it a quick blast with the Heat Tool to melt the powder.

Fresh Fig

If you find that you are getting embossing powder everywhere even if you have used the Embossing Buddy, 'wipe' off the excess powder with a very fine and very small paint brush. It just flicks that excess powder right off. Be careful not to flick off the powder where you want it to be though.

Dapper Denim

These two circle medallion cards have been embellished with a small piece of the Gold patten DSP from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper. Two of the sheets in this DSP pack have a gold foil pattern just on one side and the rest of the DSP is double sided with some gorgeous patterns. Gorgeous rich colours with stunning designs.

All of the cards have been finished off with some Gold Stampin' Up! ribbon and trims and also some of the gorgeous linen thread.

Just how stunning are those medallion thinlits??!! I just love the detail to them and I'm looking forward to using each of the nesting pieces individually as well as more of nesting them together.

Just a reminder that these products are available to demonstrators only from 4 - 30th April and available to customers from 1st - 31th May. If you’re a customer and you just can’t wait, talk to your demonstrator about joining their team (or for information on joining in Australia, click here) and you can get it early too!

I hope that I've given you a little bit of inspiration with this suite. Put this suite on your wish list now!

Now on to Canada with the super fabulous Shannon Lane. She is just amazing!!
